Okay, I have more feels for Calliope than I can even handle right now so here, take them and do what you will with them.

Just look at the conditions she’s living in right now.Literallyhomestuck with an immature homicidal psychopath. This guy wants nothing more than to rip her to shreds and she’s to the point where she’s willing to break the rules she’s followed for  how long because she’s terrified of how out of hand everything’s gotten. She’s saying goodbye to all her friends like she’s accepted she’s going to die, giving final parting gifts and everything.

Her whole situation is extremely reminiscent of an abusive family. At least too close to it for comfort. The only sentient being she has actual contact with hates her and tells her how happy her friends will be when she’s gone, and how terrible she is. And the way she reacts says this has definitely happened before. I’ll wager a guess that this is a completely routine thing, one of uu’s biggest hobbies in fact. She just shrugs it off at this point but she still clearly has tons of self esteem issues, and he isn’t helping. I’ll bet anything he STARTED the self esteem issues. And through everything she’s still just as smiley and helpful as ever. She’s so strong it’s unbelievable.

It sort of adds a second meaning to her first line “this is finally the day yoU make everything better.” if you squint.
