Every time this post comes around, I have to explain this.
Watch Dennou Coil, the most underrated anime pretty much ever.
Yes, this is the standard of animation throughout the series.
AND THIS IS A FILLER EPISODE.
It’s basically about kids with what’s essentially Google Glass: The Game. The whole world is affected by this game. Traffic lights, school, anything.
It’s good in the beginning and gets really, really good by the end.
Shows the vulnerabilities of children.
Well-written children in general. They fall under some tropes but they don’t suffer from the usual fallacies of writing children into series.
And yeah, the filler episodes are really good. The whole series is worth watching.

Reblogging as a reminder to myself

okay seriously if you’re in a relationship or even a friendship and you find yourself spending more time crying out of sadness or arguing with them, leave them. i don’t care if they’re a modern day aphrodite/adonis or a gift bestowed upon you by the gods. toxic people are dangerous and i highly advise cutting them out of your life and finding someone who makes you laugh until you snort your drink out your nose instead.

CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE.
I am a Canadian citizen.
I live in Canada.
I am a university student.

I am reminded every day about the issues across the globe.

And these issues are IMPORTANT.

THAT. BEING. SAID.

WE HAVE ISSUES HAPPENING RIGHT HERE AT HOME.

And they are NOT being talked about.

We have OVER 1200 Native American women who have disappeared or been murdered in the last 3 decades.

THESE WOMEN ARE ONLY GETTING A SMALL TEXT BOX AT THE BOTTOM OF OUR 24 HOUR NEWS STATION.

A task force has NOT YET been assembled.

WHY.

THESE WOMEN ARE IMPORTANT.
THEIR LIVES MATTER.

Why are we not talking about this.
I think I know the reason.

This is all the information I know at the moment.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t start the conversation.

TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT THIS.
TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS.
ASK YOUR TEACHERS.
ASK YOUR PROFESSORS.

ASK IN HISTORY, POLITICS, CIVICS, LAW CLASS.

ASK.

GET THE CONVERSATION GOING.

GET UPSET. BE CONSTRUCTIVE.

DON’T LET THIS ISSUE BECOME A FOOT NOTE IN A HISTORY BOOK BECAUSE I DON’T THINK IT’S EVEN GOING TO GET THAT.

DESPITE OUR CLAIMS, we are NOT a perfect country and I am TIRED of pretending we are.

We do not have a task force.

The Conservative government has failed to call for a national inquiry.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/its-time-for-canada-to-act-on-missing-and-murdered-aboriginal-women/article18638089/

The UNITED NATIONS has CALLED UPON CANADA TO ACT.

https://news.vice.com/article/un-tells-canada-to-solve-the-1200-missing-and-murdered-aboriginal-women-cases

Stephen Harper has avoided this issue.

This can NOT continue.

HELP SPREAD THIS MESSAGE.
